Areas of speciality:
I am Rachel Griffin and I hold a degree in integrative counselling and psychotherapy and am currently completing a diploma in hypnotherapy. Working in a collaborative manner with my clients I provide a safe space in which they can explore and process their issues. My background in Yoga, nutrition and Reiki informs an holistic complement to my practice. I use creative and experiential interventions to help my clients tune into the wisdom of their body and develop a ‘felt sense’ harmonising their mind, body, and spirit.
My methodology combines a wide range of therapies including CBT and Psychodynamic as well as Schema Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Inner Child Work, Mindfulness and NLP. Together we unfold the truth of who you are, what is meaningful to you, and how best to take the steps on a life path that resonates with truth.
Identifying and resolving an underlying trauma which may be the root of anxiety and depression is my primary focus. A principal part this process is the evolution of self-compassion within you and we work on this using a combination of some of the above modalities. High levels of self-compassion form a nourishing base from which to build more connected and authentic relationships not only with yourself but also with significant others….. and this I believe is cornerstone of living a more fulfilling life.
